"WE?"
French for 'Yes'.
What the hockey club from Montreal says when they come to Detroit (French for bad-azz) and are asked if they are going to get beat up and loose.
_________________________ Where the Wild Things Are. Maurice Sendak That hockey club as you refer to it has won 24 Stanley Cups and the only team in professional sports that has more championships is the New York Yankees with 27. I'm also old enough to remember the Broad Street Bullies of the seventies who thought they could pull their act on the Montreal Canadians. They didn't do to good.

Just checking to make sure you are paying attention, LD. And it's poutine, not whatever you wrote.
LR, the Red Wings have been around close to as long as the Habs. How many times have they got their names inscribed on the cup. In comparison, at least the Habs HAD glory days. And without the Production Line, what little glory the Wings have had fades into insignificance.
Though I can't say I'm too happy about the PK trade.

You guys are bigger hockey fans than me. I was mostly interested in players, not so much the teams except Montreal and Pittsburg. I never liked the Leafs because Conn Smythe made players keep their hair short or off the team.
If you'll suffer a bit for me, Bobby Bauer of the Kraut Line, then making skates in Ontario, gave me a case of hard liquor for the guys on a press train, I was asked if I was Gordie Howe in a grocery store, met half the Detroit team including Alex Delvecchio in Montreal.
But for all of them, on TV, ice or in person, no one ever turned me on like The Rocket in the Forum, his explosive intensity, his laser-like black eyes, boring on the wing inside the blue line , almost scary, I couldn't breathe.
I was crushed when I met him in a TV studio. He was shorter than me.

Circled in blood.
Bonus games. (Winnipeg)

One of my best friends is French Canadian from Montreal. We would literally try to kill each other when the Wings and Canadians played when we where kids. I would come home beat the f up and my dad would say, watchin' the game at Bernie's house, eh? God I love hockey!
