James,
It is pretty obvious that Trump's conservative supporters are isolationists. I think they would be well served by following your advise...change is coming, better get on the band wagon. Isolationism is an ideology of the past and the world and its economy is moving forward.
As for me ignoring mainstream media bias, you should just put me in the camp of not agreeing that it exists. My take on it is that subscribers of this theory just do not like the facts that they are hearing. So instead of coming to grips with news they don't like, its easier to attack and distrust the source. Life is full of bad news, best to learn how to deal with it as opposed to come up with a conspiracy of bias.
Having read through your responses and linked articles, I still am not seeing any details on his policies or changes that he would make. There is nothing but grandiose promises and statements with nothing behind them. It is amazing that so many people can be duped by a snake oil salesman.
And where do they get this idea that he is not a hawk? The man would order the navy to engage in an act of war if some poor fool flips them the bird. How is he he going to destroy ISIS in 30 days without the use of a large ground force or the use of tactical nukes? The fact they he would consider the use of a nuke not as an absolute last resort is astounding and extremely dangerous. Micheal Hayden is right. Trump is a clear and present danger.
