John,
I have friends who bought 3 guns, a Woodward SLE, a Ford 20 hammer and a Fox 20. A dealer friend sold 2.
Covey Rise was selling subscriptions to their magazine. I believe a lot of folks signed up. I did.
RST seemed to sell a lot of shells. They were my first stop for a flat of 8s for the flurry event. Several in my group stocked up on multiple flats since we won't see RST again until the Southern SxS in April.
Kevin Jones owner of BEST a vest maker in Australia was displaying his line of shooting vests. I bought a new vest. At least 6 my chapter either bought or ordered custom fit vests. I am pretty sure Kevin had a good show. His vests are used by the Australian Olympic Shooting Teams.
I can't say how the other dealers did. Some of the bigger dealers had been at Orvis the weekend before. That may have lowered the traffic for this event.
There were just over 100 shooters. I'd say it was a good turnout and an event worth returning to next year.
The rifle shooters all enjoyed the events. The German gun collectors are already planning to shoot their drillings and cape guns next year, rather than just display them. I think the rifle event will grow next year.
And for the second time, I loaded for the Flurry team that beat me.

I had fun.

Joe
