It wouldn't be that difficult to remove the lock, just cautiously, with the aide of a bastard file, work down a turnscrew to mate the screw-head. & you might want to give it a good rap on the end to break the initial friction. Back it out & with the locks in battery, reverse thread the right lock from the outside & gently remove it. But if you do send it out, see if images can be obtained of the backs of the locks.
Drew, I see the term hammer steel but I'm still left wanting as I don't see the French version Acier Martelé?
