Tried a round ball with a moderate powder charge a couple of times and it kicked like crazy. Like Ed mentioned, it's a lightweight field gun with very thin tubes. Very well made shotgun and always went off as advertised. "It's a good day for something"

I usually shoot moderate to heavy black powder charges with spherical or conical bullets. If the gun is safe to shoot and recoil can be managed by adding weight, then I am interested in purchasing it.
