I've had the same kind of replies to several ads, from a .22 rifle to a 1947 3 ton Dodge truck that hadn't been running in 15 years. The fellow wanting the 47 Dodge 3 ton was also in the Navy and would have a friend arrange for shipping. The guy was buying the truck for his daughter. I asked him why in hell he would want a none running ,3 ton dump truck for his daughter and have it shipped from Canada to a Southern State. Talk about obvious scam.

Another scam is the buyer sends a cashier's check for $1000 more than the asking price "for a friend" or "handling costs" or whatever. The bank initially OKs the check, but 72 hours later, the check is found to be fraudulent. It would probably work the same way with Pay Pal.
It's definitely a scam.

That covers about a third of the people in the us.  . Syntax and grammar are tells for a lot of these online scams. But their object is to scam a dumb person not to trick a smart one. It's all numbers. Send out a hundred emails get ten answers and then get one fish to bite. After all they have nothing invested in their scam so any money is profit to them.

and VS squadrons on the west coast were out of north island in san diego.
