This year will be a little different. Instead of flying up to God's country, I'll be taking a well-used F-150 up to leave with my in-laws to replace their well-worn but faithful 1989 version (I do hope old Fords have a little life left in them at 150K!). A pilot friend of mine is relocating down to Orlando to be closer to his work hub, so his regular ride to DIA here is now headed to Frostbite Falls. It's been very well-cared for, but 1997 trucks are getting to be a bit seasoned now. Most of it's brethren here have long-since departed for old Mexico (where most of our older, used trucks now seem to end up). I can haul toys with abandon on this trip, so lots of good vino, cheese, a little elk, ammo, and even extra birdguns may make it this trip. I do have to be careful of my temporary Colorado plates though, .....every cop between here and there is going to be interested in seeing if I'm hauling a bale or two.
