Sometimes you just have to wonder about people and guns. I am watching two 12 doubles. One is a Remington 1900 steel barrel double in real decent condition, call it a 80% gun, dealer 90+%. The other is a crescent 12 in roughly the same shape, maybe a little less. Both on a auction and the Crescent is bringing twice the Remington price. Be interesting to see final outcome between a hardware gun ant the Remington.

I know few people have handled or seen many Remington's but the difference in quality is very plain for all to see. I can't decide if the Crescent interest is to have a hardware gun like grandfathers or just more people know crescent brand name on doubles than Remington. I have noticed on Gunbroker that few Remington 1894 or 1900 bring much money. Maybe I need to add them to my under apriciate do gun list. Shame people seem to like the higher grades because some of the 1894s are very good looking.
