It is Nitro proved, and has 70 mm = 2 3/4" chambers
The original bore was 18.3 = .720"
The right barrel was choked 17.6 = .693" = IM
The left barrel was choked 17.3 = .681" = Full

I believe you're right, thank you! I would think that there are too many similarities with the gun shown in the link to be anything else.

What does the equation D=70/20.7 refer to?

So would I be able to shoot modern, light 2-3/4" loads?

Its a nice enough Gun...the top shot of the top leaver n fences looks rather nice..
So what do you thinks its worth if in good mechanical shape lads???....or what price would you pull the trigger, so to speak?
Around $800-$1000?...less...more?.
It would be a nice gun to start with, @ the right price I think

What is the significance of: #12805

D = 70 mm = 2 3/4" chamber at 20.7 mm = .815" = 12g
The pre-fit and finish barrel weight was about 1.34 Kg = 2.95 #
12805 was the maker's SN. No records exist to date the gun further.

The gun was proved for a (pre-1924) service (using) load of 1 1/4 oz. / 3 1/4 Dram Eq. (1220 fps).
That was likely about 100 years ago, bad things happen to guns and the head of the stock in 100 years, the gun deserves a careful check and clean by a double gun specialist smith, and I would NOT use that load now.

There are some difference. Mine has a upper rib extension that's part of the locking mechanism and yours has ejectors while mine has extractors. Yours is perhaps an upscale version of mine. BTW mine's a 16 gauge with 27" barrels and weighs 5lbs. I suspect yours is a very lightweight gun as well (another reason not to use heavy loads). Even with 1 ounce loads mine kicks the $hit out me! But it's a great upland gun.

Barrels on this gun are slightly under 27", about 26-7/8". It weighs about 6.3 lbs.
This one is not mine yet, but I plan to make an offer. I want to get it looked over by a gunsmith first. What did you pay for yours?

The very first photo appears to show a crack in the head of the stock where it meets the receiver, near the top of the L side.

I had seen what you're referring to right away, not really sure if it is or not, but that's a likely place for a crack for sure. Plan to have it completely gone over by gunsmith before buying it.
