I agree. The NID has to be a strong design, Ithaca used it for the Magnum 10 bore, after John Olin approached them with a request to build a side-by-side for his new "Roman Candle" waterfowling long range load. If Olin had the Model 21 underway, and one of such was picked at random from warehouse inventory for the 2000 "blue pill" proof testing, why didn't the WRA design team come up with a 10 gauge 3.5" chambered Model 21? Just wondering.
