Interesting about the tight patterns. On my hunting gun, the shot count on the tubes indicate modified and improved modified chokes. Since it was no doubt patterned with fiber wads, it probably patterns a little more tightly with plastic. It works pretty good on Iowa pheasants shot over my dogs.

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
