OP geejaykay Sidelock Joined: Jul 2016 Posts: 116	I took it to a gun shop, and although they can't tell me much about the gun, they said that it looks like damascus barrels that have been blued. Assuming that it was made in or around the early 1890's (no proof marks), can we also assume that it is damascus? If so, what kind of precautions do I need to take in shooting it? Or should I not shoot it? Also they agreed that the rifle barrel seems to be 11mm or something close to that.

But either way you will need to keep your pressures low. I assume it is a 16(65mm) bore? Cheers, Raimey rse
