There are a number of Spanish (and other European & Russian) makers who have made a few guns with 'Purdey' similarities. Note this is strictly a 'Beesley' patent that Purdey bought and have used ever since.
This can range from locks similar to 'Purdey' locks, but lever cocked to near perfect 'Purdey' clones.
AyA built a full Purdey clone (called the model Senior with a total of about 40 made between 1979 and 1987). It was expensive and sold slowly. They have also built some models with a No 1 like action having lever cocked Purdey type locks. These are also only occasionally seen.
Ignacio Ugartechea also built a model 1040 (?) that was a Purdey clone. I think these were built in very low numbers in the 1930s.
Many English/Scottish makers (in addition to Purdey) have made a few examples, the most frequently seen being the Henry Atkin 'Spring Opener' model of which a few hundred have probably been made. Other makes include John Dickson, P.V. Nelson, Hartmann and Weiss, Peter Chapman, Symes & Wright, Watson Brothers, Holloway & Naughton, Charles Hellis. None have made very many.
Other European and Russian makers include Francotte, Tula, Baikal and Defourny. Again very few have been made.
I am sure there are other makers of which I am not aware.
