A few years ago some of my Saskatchewan friends told me that Western Canada has nothing in common with the east. They suggested that Sask be allowed to secede and become a US state. Had to turn'em down because annexing Sask would have screwed up our national map. It would look like a middle finger sticking straight up out of our fly-over country...Geo
That's all I know about Canadian politics. Very true George. Like a Texan and someone from Maine without the binding forge of revolution. Now that would be perfect and what a beautiful country Canada is. A country that is over 3.8 million square miles with a population of only 36 million. Holy smokes lets get the other western provinces and territories also!!!!

Drowning my sorrows in a reposado tequila tonight. Sorry LD, the whisky will have to wait for another evening. Glad to hear you were enjoying Corb a couple weeks ago. I had probably the best harmonica player in Canada over for drinks last Saturday, Carlos del Junco. Man that guy can play.
And back to the thread topic, Carlos is of Cuban origin, whose family fled Castro's Cuba and pretty sure they are all pleased with the freedoms accorded individuals in both of our great countries.

Merciful heavens! Now it is true that I do not visit as often as I once did, but it seems I only turned my back and there are 7 PAGES of comments! I guess I am responsible for the acrimony betwixt the local combatants as my original post was not about doubles. I must agree wholeheartedly with those with absolute disdain for our socialist/Marxist members. These types are SO anti-American, anti-Capitalist, anti-Christian that I have ZERO respect for them and in matters where we might have common ground like hunting, doubles, etc, I refuse to associate with them for the more important reasons.
As for national differences, who have we all in common more than Americans, Canadians, Brits, Australians, and Kiwis. God Bless you all and may you one day rid yourselves of the Godless socialists and Marxists.
