Looking back on history of my country of birth it would have been better for them to make alliance with Adolf Hitler than with useless western democracies. In the end they were handed over to Josef Stalin. What good are such allies? I'm firmly convinced alliance with Adolf Hitler would have been much better. If that happened Germany could defeat both France and England then we could join forces with them to destroy the main enemy which was Stalin in Bolshevik Russia. More recently Ukrainians have found out that English guarantees guarantee nothing. If you ever get stuck in foreign country and can not reach your own embassy never go to British one. They will hand you over to your enemies for "five pence".

It is Latvian. The version with English subtitles was removed for infringement violations. Now only one with Chinese subtitles seems to be available.

We've lasted longer then the original democracy in Athens!! I think you have a few more centuries to go yet. The original democracy in Athens began about 500 BC and ended with Philip II wiping out the combined Greek armies at the battle of Chaeronea, on August 2nd, 338 BC. Greece would not regain its freedom from foreign occupation until the early 19th century AD.

Latvians and Ukrainians played it both ways, Jag, with Germany and Russia invading east and west respectively. No European combination with Germany could have defeated Russia, Great Britain, the British Commonwealth and United States of America.

The "crazy Muslim problem" is directly attributable to Bush and Blair invading Iraq (see the definitive and devastating Lord Chilcott Report released last week), the biggest foreign policy blunder of modern times.
The isolationist US, which stayed out of the war until bombed into it at Pearl Harbour, was turned around by FDR who knew the US was toast if the expanding Axis powers defeated UK, British Commonwealth and Russia..

The "crazy Muslim Problem" is due to two "Pillars of Islam" being Jihad and Sharia. Fundamentalist uprisings have occurred throughout history, the difference now being we live in an age of jet transport and open immigration.
The rise of Isis was due to Obama' surrender in Iraq, not surprising that he also favors open immigration, totalitarian statism, and refuses to deal with the true nature of Islamic fundamentalist expansion.
It's not surprising Comrade King would provide the doctrinal, anti-intellectual, statist response.
I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
