After in-letting it properly, and tightening the receiver to the stock blank, I laid out the bolt path through the stock to make sure my pattern didn't intersect it. Then laid out the stock pattern. I decided to go with an English straight stock, partially because I hear that it makes it easier to transition between the triggers, but mostly because I figured it would be easier than pistol grip to make, and because I haven't got a gun with a straight stock. I modeled it after my the stock on my father's Baikal single shot, that particular gun fits me very well, the only changes I made were eliminating the pistol grip, adjusting the length of pull, and adding 1/8" of cast off. Because I don't have a band saw I cut out the stock in steps...literally, with a chisel and saw I step cut the outline of the stock out. [img]
