Sounds to me like Yankee guilt talking. And, just so you will know the reason there is still a sour taste in the mouths of many Southerners, concerning the late unpleasantness, it can be stated in three words ...... William Tecumseh Sherman. The only response that your proposed change in the title would bring from Southerners is one of pride. That is the difference you don't understand.

And, by the way OJay, there ARE grouse in the South. If there were not, would there be an open season on them? Hmm?
