The one main thing to consider is the importance of finding a gun which fits you well. DR shooting is almost an instinct type of shooting. Close range, perhaps quick or worse shots taken at a closing target. You want a gun which is almost an extension of you not something you have to make sure you adjust to it. I tried shooting one which did not fit well and it just reinforced a budding flinch which took years to loose. .470, .500.... And many other calibers can cleanly put down a Cape with decent bullet placement. Nothing will with sloppy placement or just increadable bad luck. Trip over a buff and hope he slips on a slippery spot because he has every advantage and you are out of time. I wonder how many have been killed with.375 before many countries decided what a reasonable caliber was? .470 should be good to go if you find one that hits where you point.
