I just posted on your other thread before seeing this one. I went to Mr. Makinson's shop about 2 months ago for him to go over my Holland to ensure it was safe to shoot. I found him to be a very, very friendly gentleman and extremely knowledgeable. He said he started his career in Birmingham before moving to Canada. And on while inspecting my double he spend an extra 30-40 minutes putting it back on face for free- a large step above and beyond! He stated he didn't want to see me walk out with a gun that wasn't right if he could help fix it. Made quite a favorable impression on me of course!
I saw a double he had made himself, but I didn't shoot it of course. Looked like a well made double with minimal engraving.
