Isn't that a shocker! First ever in the country, never in the House of Commons. Prime Minister Jean Chretien---who kept us out of Iraq---grabbed a protester by the throat on the campaign trail and was labelled The Choker. Trudeau's father Pierre as prime minister gave the finger to prairie farmers during a campaign, saying it wasn't his job to sell their wheat. I haven't noticed much difference in parties but can still say I've never voted for the Liberals. I nearly did last October to get rid of the Conservatives---the four Atlantic provinces didn't give them a seat---but a few days before election day the Liberal federal campaign co-chair was caught advising the oil and gas industry how to lobby the new government. Cured me.
