Yes, straight from the box. As per the Parker Process. I use it for the initial etch for all barrels, both Black and Brown. Another interesting thing, as was illustrated in the Damascus film, when coated with sulfuric acid the barrels develop a "skin" and do not rust. I'm sure this is the reason why they were shipped from Belgium that way.


I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
