My only comment on Misfires, in a private message to a member today:
"Misfires could be an entertaining and informative exchange of opinions---and facts--if a few American members demonstrated the good manners of other members of an international board. That's not going to happen. Dave shut down Misfires rather than remove them from the board."
Dave did the right thing.
This only an observation King, nothing more.
In the 'trashed' thread, ed g. was touched and moved by your comment:
"Family and friendships, harmonious and productive relationships, high standards of human values, pursuit of happiness without intruding carelessly on the happiness of other are worth more than any gun to me. Guns fit nicely, but they're not everything.".
I don't see any facts being exchanged here, and it seems to me that the only information being exchanged here is that emotional adjectives will never mean the same thing to different people. Why not admit that facts and exchange aren't always the intention, sometimes it's just triggering emotion. If you're able to get folks going, haven't you 'won'. Yup, that and a dime used to buy a cup of coffee.
