Keith seems to enjoy being the turd in our punch bowl. He's quite good at being a turd.

I had never seen the piece before. Great little look at how far Canadian culture had progressed, and what was on the agenda. Okay, since it's out of some financial magazine, what's with the shenanigans about making excuses to reduce income. Wouldn't the 'just' have rather paid their fair share of taxes?

When you do the life-n-times book, you gotta dedicate a paragraph or two to hand chopping wood, pulling lobster pots and those black labs.

There are many, many things I disagree with King about. But I am very happy to have crossed paths with him. And that would not have happened had we not both been members here.

I'll slip quietly from this life, craig. Cremation, no service or visitation. No book for me. (A pleasure of books are reading them for what they say of their authors.)

My parents wanted only for me to be well and happy, my families and friends to be loving and useful, to take my turn at the communal oars.

DoubleGun helped. It encapsulates The Spirit, which triumphs at the best and worst of times, as always.

I miss the philosophical jousting that was Misfires. Especially with regard to King. It was always enjoyable, since it was always thought provoking. We need Misfires back, especially during the election season. Perhaps repetitive, childish, cut-and-paste posts could be grounds for Banning.

No Ken, we don't need misfires back. What we need is for the cabal to stop trying to turn the general forum into misfires. People should join a politics forum if they want to wax philosophic on their ideology.

I'm with you Ken. There are certainly aspects of misfires I miss. I like the free wheeling discussions.

My opinion is that I would like to see Misfires back .......... With a tighter rein from the moderator on it AND the general forum.

Well Keith, only 7 of my last 40 posts are in response to your bloviating drivel . . . so, with 29 of your last 40 firing at me, Ed, King, etc--looks like you're way ahead in the drivel category. And it's very rare that I bring your name into anything until you make an appearance. Usually unwanted. Just my way of saying "Hi, Keith. You're unwelcome, once again. You want to talk about the 2nd Amendment? Why not start your own thread?"
