Can't say I share all that much in common with King, other than a last name. And Brown, after all, is a pretty common one. In my case, I've had quite a life. Let's see . . . running back for the Redskins. That was after the baseball season, when I was an infielder for the Cleveland Indians. Don't be confused by the deep suntan if you see my football pictures. Remember, I was out in the sun playing baseball all summer. After retirement, got into coaching basketball and won an NCAA championship at Kansas.

Pretty interesting family too. Great granddad John, fighting to free the slaves. Then, somewhere along the line, one of the relatives got into a biracial relationship and produced Uncle James of rock and roll fame.

Woops. Missed the war record, and the Canadian connection that may link me to King--but I'm not sure. Great Uncle Roy, flying with the Royal Flying Corps in WWI, was credited with shooting down the Red Baron. More recently they seem to credit the Baron's demise to ground fire, but I'm sticking with the family legend.

Now it's Keith's turn to publish his family tree. I'll bet it doesn't have all the interesting branches the Brown family tree has. smile
