I would definitely agree the overall quality of the NID is higher than the NS. "IF" properly fitted the rotary bolt is a superior lock-up as it gives two-way bolting. In a discussion on this several years back a number of members smoked their bolts & checked for fit & as I recall nobody found one fitted to give bearing to the rear of the hole in the rib. Again "IF" all it does is keep the barres closed then I do not truly see it as a superior bolt to the simple wedge of the NS. I will say the only guns I can recall hearing of "Blowing Open" on firing were those fitted with rotaru bolts. It seems as if that rotary bolt is not very precisely fitted it will with just a bit of thrust cam itself open.
