I anxiously waited through a two week auction on an early model 21.
Gun was described as being "lightly pitted with little actual rust". Pictures were horrific.

I spoke to the owner and ascertained that in fact only the blueing was degraded and the metal was still perfect.
Bidding on this gun was almost nil.
The morning of the last day of the auction I receive the following on a non related site,
"If You are the Bidder on 20ga. M21 Skeet Gun on Gun Brokers.....You have Heavy Hitter in the Weedsa....
First Bidder on the List A0xxxxx is Tony Galazn of CSMS....I Know this Cause...Everytime..He is in ..I have lost."
My heart sank and I spent a fitful day watching my newest 21 and waiting for the lurkers to show themselves. I wondered if this might just be a ploy to keep me from further bidding and accept early defeat. Light bidding in the final hours with a small flurry in the final minutes. I win at about 2/3's of what I feel the real value of the gun is.
Ever so pleased when the 21 was delivered and is in the condition I believed it to be.

Best part are the chokes. 50 straight on its maiden trip to my club.

I've ordered a proper Winchester pad and will probably forego all other work as this gun is just perfect the way it is.
A 1 family gun from the Napa Valley.
Grandad was a Skeet Shooter, father hunted Quail, grandson not so much.
