All, I have no dog in this fight. However, I do know the principlals in this new shoot very well and know that they are some of the kindest people I have ever known. I am certain that this was not done on purpose. Scheduling shoots is a nightmare. I have scheduled numerous NSCA shoots and no matter what you do they overlap something else - and with those shoots there is a central database. With side-by-side shoots, it's tougher. There is no central database, you must search, and to search effectively you really need to know the name of the shoot. And if you don't frequent the right website it may only be mentioned once. I think this just points out the need for some central database for these sorts of shoots. Once again, i'm not involved with either shoot, but I hate to see good people being slammed for something I would bet was unintentional.

I doubt the conflict was done on purpose. After all, it is the traditional weekend for the Vintage Cup. And don't forget, were it not for the Vintagers and the Vintage Cup, all the other sxs shots probably would not exist.

Go to the event of your choosing. I wish both venues the best of luck.

Hello Tom Bryant, I am certain that this was done on purpose. I am certain that these NEW Vintagers, The Vintage Gunners, picked the same days that Rock Mountain Sporting Clays had already picked back in September of 2015 for their RMSC SXS Shoot in September of 2016 on purpose and with the full knowledge of what they were doing. These NEW Vintagers, The Vintage Gunners, picked the date for their SXS shoot on March 14th of 2016, the date of their press release. They might have picked that date a few days before the 14th but their press release is dated March 14th of 2016 so March 14th is when they officially picked their shoot dates. Now here is my proof in pictures. I am going to show you pictures of a few of these NEW Vintagers at a GROUSE HALL SXS SHOOT with Mike Koneski on Friday, March 11th of 2016. I am going to show you The Virginia Vintagers New Years Letter and Schedule with the RMSC SXS Shoot listed for September 22-23-24-25 of 2016 and that news letter went out in late January of 2016 and early February of 2016. This news letter/minutes was published on facebook well before March 14th of 2016 the date of the so called press release.

There is Mike Koneski of RMSC standing in the center of the back row of the main group picture on March 11th of 2016 at Wing Pointe and M&E in Pennsylvania. Tom Bryant, Do you recognize anyone else in this group picture??? Two of these men were at this SXS shoot as representatives of The Vintage Gunners and gave a small presentation to the shooters of GROUSE HALL at the end of the shoot. They knew all about Mike's SXS shoot scheduled at RMSC!

Now here is the SXS shooting schedule published by The Virginia Vintgers, published back in late January of 2016 and February of 2016.

Every SXS shooter on the East Coast of the USA knew about the RMSC SXS shoot and knew the dates.

Respectfully, Jent P Mitchell III

Great post, Jent. It seems that there was a bit of competitive animosity in the Vintagers' scheduling. I don't really know how far this is going to go, but George Hopkins should be informed of the possibility of having a less than stellar weekend.

I wish all 3 Fall SxS events well. One things sure though, I will only be able to attend one Fall shoot. Backwoods is always a very well run shoot, Rick Hemmingway's targets are a plus. I hear good things about Rock Mountain and Mike is a nice a guy as you can find, like to try his shoot.

Doubt if I would take valuable time off for a new event run by a new outfit.

The Vintagers should be ashamed of themselves. At a minimum, they did not do due diligence in investigating conflicts. At a maximum, this was intentional to undercut Mike's shoot that he has been planning since his successful inaugural shoot last year.

Yeah what he said..... Come on, they all knew what they were doing, and they tried to use the excuse of the , "Vintagers Shoot" to undermine the Rock shoot. Who are they trying to fool... Sorry don't get it, why are you trying to divide a small group of shooters and the vendors...?
