hello, new member here. i have a william moore double barrel shotgun that was my great,or great, great grandfather's. it has Birmingham proof stamps under barrels and breech plugs.percussion ignition. london stub twist on barrel rib.there is no address on the rib though.i have read that alot of gunmakers back than engraved their address inside the lock plates.before i very carefully try to remove the pins for the locks and triggers i was wondering if anyone had more info on whether their may be an address there.i build flintlock longrifles for a hobby so i am capable of doing it as long as the pins start to move. also their is one stamping with the Birmingham stamps i have not been able to identify.it is a small letter "s" with what looks like a crown under it.i thought maybe this is a proof stamp for shotguns.any help would be much appreciated, thanks mike k.
