While I don't own one, I know of others who do or have owned them. Like already mentioned, they are a hit and miss as far as reliable function. But at $325.00 you aren't out much. Who knows, you might get lucky and get a decent one.

Shot a round of SC's with a young novice shooter who had a "Sporting" version of the Stoeger last weekend. It had poor dynamics and misfired on the bottom barrel about 25 or 30 times.

Made in Spain. Local gun shop has one- 28" with ventilated rib, choke tubes, extractors, single trigger- Thinking casually about buying it for the once a year DU Sponsor SC shoot-not a true O/U man, nor serious about SC- as I am about shotgunning practice on barn pigeons and crows- How reliable are these low end guns? Is the single trigger mechanical or recoil operated? Are the choke tubes stainless steel-older Spanish made shotguns had reputations for poor metallurgy-how about this? Gracias para sus opiniones, amigos. El Zorro Couple decades ago I bought new IGA 20ga SxS Coach Gun. When the gun was loaded safety off and rear trigger was pulled the gun went off about 30% of the time. Later I had FM short slide 9mm pistol. The slide showed much peening on the inside after about 400 rounds were fired. No more guns made in South America for me. Muchos gracias.

Thanks to all for the input- based on the informed replies, I have decided to save the $325 and wait and see. Area Cabelas Gun Library has a Valmet 12 with choke tubes, single trigger, maybe ejectors, under 1K-might check that out-later on. RWTF
