With the advent of the internet and forums such as this one, the 'need' for clubs is not as great as it once was. We have seen this in the classic car arena.
We used to exchange views, points of view and information face to face over a pint in the pub at a club meeting or at one or two regular national annual meetings. Now we can do the same thing with a very much wider audience from the comfort of our own homes.
I would like to see a UK based vintage gun enthusiasts entity of some sort though and I applaud the Perrins chaps. Even so, I suspect that the really interesting guns are owned by wealthy individuals who are by nature reclusive and private. What I don't have a feel for is just how many vintage gun enthusiasts like us are around in the UK. There's only about a dozen of us regularly posting on here. I'm surprised its not more.
