I finally took possession of the Gastinne-Renette shotgun.
Just as what many of you thought, it is actually a 20 gauge and not a 16 gauge as advertised by the auction house. The gun is in very good condition. There is a bit of rust underneath the action, on the trigger guard and on the barrels. Inside the bores are mirror bright. It locks very solid. The gun weights 5lbs.10oz. The stock has a small wooded extension, which was visible in the original pics, but can be seen better in these ones. LOP is 14.00", which I would have to extend to 14.50" to fit me. Here are some additional pics. The only concern is that the chambers are 65 long, which means I would have to purchase shells from RST, or set up a reloader for shorter shells. Let me know your thoughts. BillK
