CC1900, you don't have to qualify. Just pay and shoot any event, it's wide open, European rotation. The Parker/L C Smith challenge does require that you qualify for it.

You'll be fine with 7/8 oz. loads.

I emailed the Kempffers and they said that the Baymont is offering a reduced rate for the shoot.

Actually, this is a copy and paste of what Mary said:

"The only folks who say they offer a special rate are the Bay mount in Sanford. I encourage everyone to specify the Southern when booking any of the hotels on our accommodation list. I think there is an informal approach to getting that weekend's business. Look forward to seeing you in April." - Mary Kempffer

Not sure what that "informal approach" actually means, or can accomplish.
