The one most commonly available with modern chamber lengths: Ithaca SKB. IMO, best buy on the used market in that price range. If they only had 2 triggers! But they do have a pretty good SST.

I agree with Larry about the Japanese SKB ( I can fix the trigger problem). Also there are some lesser known used German and Swedish guns to be had with a lot of quality and not buckets of money. Mark

For a SxS it will be very difficult to do better than a Beretta at any price point. Pre-owned or new.

skb made some pretty ones for sure. they felt a little square in my hands, but for the price....well worth it.

sold my 200 series and 100 series skb's back in 2008.
got 1000 for the 12ga and 700 for the 20ga. came used with box/papers too.

bss 20's are clunky, ill balanced clubs...skb's r chinsey...most any sub gage packer, smit, foxie fox or iterkerr wood qualify in mah umble pinyon...
