I found another 1983 catalog from William Larkin Moore who imported AYA guns back then.

The Model 4-A Deluxe of that era apparently did not come with an articulated front trigger. Or at least he did not import them that way.

No idea about 1978, however.

But your gun certainly looks identical to the photos of the Model 4-A Deluxe in my early 1980s catalogs.

You are quite right. I believe it is pretty much the same, but known as the "Best Quality Boxlock" in the UK (still available I believe). Many UK models were built to order, so there are many variations (barrel length, single/double trigger, self opening, chokes etc.)
Its a very nice gun.
