Thanks! Always wanted to do something about those mono-bloc welds, at this point I'll overlook them!

Ninepointer, that looks like a case colored receiver. I've never seen a factory Ithaca SKB with anything other than black chrome or silver nitride receiver.

Someone prior to me had work done to the gun, including the colours, which I believe are cyanide.

Bead was replaced

I'm not sure if the stock was re-worked from a PG or replaced entirely

I wish they hadn't taken an inch off the barrels, but its hard to argue its effectiveness on woodcock.

I don't know whether the stock has been modified or replaced, but that's not a standard SKB checkering pattern. The wood--both stock and forend--doesn't look like typical SKB wood to me. Especially not on a Model 100.

Oh, and the stock is hollowed out too. Darn frustrating gun on the skeet field, but a magic wand in the thickets.

I agree with Larry that the checkering patterns do not look standard. Bobby

I would say factory wood, reworked and checkering extended. Maybe from a higher grade 200 or 280 gun. Factory 20 Ga. barrels marked IC/Mod would be 25". 12's marked IC/MOD were 26" which is confusing. I really like the CC's, original or not they look good!

It's a shame SKB didn't make these in English stocks! They look so good. I'd give serious consideration to an English stocked DT SKB 100.

SKB did make a Royal model with case colored actions. Very much like a Webley and Scott 700.
