I would be really interested in the views of anyone who has a similar Pape with this system for retracting the firing pins. As mentioned, one of my original firing pins with the retracting arm is broken. Both original pins have been replaced and the retracting system is no longer working. I have just learned that I might be able to get a replacement firing pin with the retracting arm, possibly by a lost wax casting or another fix. If the retracting system works and is not trouble-prone, replacing or fixing the broken original firing pin on my gun would be a good option. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Do any of you have a gun with this retracting system what works reliably? Or trouble prone?

Stallones, mine has steel heel and toe plates. How well does your firing pin retracting system work? Here is a picture of both of my original firing pins. The end of the retracting arm that slides in the groove on the inside of the hammer is broken on one. As mentioned, I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to either repair or replace the original system. I'll post a photo of the heel and toe plates in a few minutes.

What beautiful locks and inletting. Thanks for posting. Does the retracting system work well? If so, I may try to fix my broken pin and reinstall the original system.
