Section 4. Right of the people to hunt, fish, and harvest game.
The people have a right to hunt, fish, and harvest game, subject to such regulations and restrictions as the General Assembly may prescribe by general law.
Question for VA residents, especially northern VA: I seem to recall, from my time there (now 40+ years ago) that you could not fish the Potomac from the VA shore without a MD license. Something along the lines of the entire river being part of MD. And of course you couldn't fish from the VA shore without a VA license. Always wondered if one could get around that by wading into the river from the VA shore having only a MD license.
