Surely it is not the arrival of the winter season;
No that can hardly be the true and genuine reason
To be jolly, merry and to rejoice;
To sing out with loud and boisterous voice.
Forsooth, let us recognize & celebrate the ultimate holiday;
Commemorating the banishment of anger, hatred and dismay.
It is the anniversary of the birth of an all powerful Conception;
Unprecedented and revolutionary from the very inception.
That man and his Creator can be at peace;
That sadness and guilt can find release.
Now grace prevails and the meek inherit;
Trumping wealth, power and feign'ed merit.
So, colleagues, one and all, join with me
