Lots of original condition, but IMO they've gotten fast and loose with "minty". It's far from minty.

I'm betting the 26" modified barrels are cut too. Mikee neglected to cover the choke designation on the left barrel flat; he's getting sloppy...Geo

Geo, I hope you didn't bet--you would have lost. Bobski, the Ithaca Lefever Models 5 and 6 were NOT offered with a vent rib. I suggest you get a copy od the Ithaca Gun Company from the Beginning, save you asking a lot of questions.

I doubt it has your vent rib; he'd have pictured that. Vent rib just makes it harder to clean IMHO. I think it looks good. I'd make a lower offer than what he's asking for it...Geo

Geo, I hope you didn't bet--you would have lost. Hey Walt, ad says both barrels are choked modified. The choke designation on the left barrel is 4, full according to your book and the right barrel choke designation is hidden. Cut is the most likely bet, but then you have the records. Certainly could have been opened without cutting...Geo

but you are right. books are worth their weight in gold. and too, people dont read books much anymore either. another lost art.
