Never yet on Brier Creek. See some occasionally on the Savannah River. When I drift the river I usually get a buddy who has a kayak exactly like mine to go, too. One of us takes the GA side and the other takes the SC side. There are never any ducks on the outside of the curves, always on the shallow inside of the curves in the willows. Too much work to paddle back and forth across the river dozens of times on a drift. Big ducks may be right out in the middle of the river. Tough to slip up on, too. Hawks daydream about having eyes as good as woodies.
