I saw some of the Marlin LCs in a gun store in Casper, WY. Sure didn't look like $1400 worth to me.

Ditto Dale's suggestion ov a used older gun for $700, if that is your price goal. A Miroku M500 in good shape for $5-700 would be much better gun than $700 worth of camel crap from the "Ottoman Empire", IMO. A Browning BSS, if you can sneak up on one at a proper price, is another good one. You will not get a very good new SxS for $700, from anywhere, again JMO.
