I have read the post on the DR and enjoyed the dialogue very much. I have a question on a 1936 O/U 12 Ga with a mark that is confusing to me. I have scoured my books and have found nothing.
There are two letters, an H and a B with a star over it. The two letters are connected and the left leg of the H is in italics. The gun has a mark of Chesnoy Leon, Y with a star above, which tells who proofed the gun.
There is also a Capital D under a crown that I can find nothing on. I have been able to figure out the rest of the marks pretty well. The HB is so small, a photo is out of the question.
Anyone have any feedback?
