Well if you consider that a gun has lasted a hundred year so far and when restored to like new condition should be good for another fifty to hundred years the cost is not that bad. I'm just stuck with the middle years. Those of a worn out or ugly gun being put back into great condition, given great looks once again. It would have been more fun to buy it when new or get it after all the work has been done. I understand your car decision if you like the car its not a bad decision as I have owned more than one car that I did not want to ever say good buy to.
