Essentially paid a wallhanger price.

The only risk is that I get emboldened and keep making purchases smile

Unfortunately Dan, you also risk being accused of being dishonest and cheating the seller by nca225. I bought a Lefever a couple years ago, fair and square, in a Gunbroker auction. I was the high bidder among 7 other bidders and 15 bids, and I won. I used the photos to make my judgement of value as per the instructions of the FFL Dealer who auctioned the gun. Since then, nca225 has accused me numerous times of being dishonest and cheating the seller simply because I used my eyes and made the highest bid. Recently, this false accusation by nca225 has evolved and grown into repeated accusations of me cheating on the purchase of more than one Lefever.

So just remember, telling us about a good deal you got might result in someone using that information to salvage their own reputation by attempting to make you look bad. You'd have thought I was low-balling poor old widows on their deceased husband's guns before the body cooled off.

I looked at your pictures and do not believe it has been refinished or had added finish applied to the stock. I hope you can live with the guilt of getting a good deal and enjoy your gun.
