Ha, fortunately I don't take the assessments personally. I was just curious on the evaluation of the gun from a more informed perspective than both my own and Cabelas. As it stands, I have virtually no financial downside risk in this gun as I got it at an extremely low price on Gunbroker from an uninformed seller who took poor pictures. Essentially paid a wallhanger price.
I mainly took issue with Cabelas insinuation that the gun wasn't original in some respects. For instance, they said the barrels had been refinished which I don't think is true. Based on what I have read on here, the barrels were originally a sort of "plum brown" as PA24 does them and have aged into a more conventional brown throughout the length of the barrels.
I am very happy with my purchase and its performance and appreciate all the useful input that I can always rely on this board for. The only risk is that I get emboldened and keep making purchases
