BAND P COMPITION ARE ABOUT 6500 psi, but GAMEBORE GOLD are too hot for most of us. Stay with RST OR RIO or Kemen one oz targer losds around 1200 ft/sec and you will be happy. I Shoot nothing but Damascus generally
And stay under 8000 psi

Loading 2 1/2" are pretty esy to load, MEC makes a short shell adaptor. BPI has lots of data even with plastic wads. I load nothing but 2 1/2" even for my long chambered shotguns. I use RIO and Fiocchi hulls picked up free at the range and cut them to 2 1/2" while watching TV at night easily doing a hundred a evening.

I have piece of 3/4" copper pipe cut 2 7/16" long it is a perfect fit for 12ga just insert the hull all the way to the rim and cut off the part of the crimp showing, quick accurate and inexpensive.

Hi - My impression of the pure gold game cartridges are that they are quite high performance. The catalogue doesn't list a pressure or speed but I don't think I would want to put them through my damscus barrels. I am sure she would take it as she has been nitro proofed to above that but I feel you have to treat these old ladies with respect and don't abuse them. They are old guns and punishing them is going to shorten their lives as it will put stress on all sorts of parts. Use a soft cartridge - point it in the right place and enjoy seeing the birds tumble out of the sky!

Oldfarmer- The data I have found on Gambores rules them out for my damascus. The Gamebore loads are listed at 1400 fps.

I use the same device on this side of the world.

The question is - do you have to turn it backwards down there?
