Loading 2 1/2" are pretty esy to load, MEC makes a short shell adaptor. BPI has lots of data even with plastic wads. I load nothing but 2 1/2" even for my long chambered shotguns. I use RIO and Fiocchi hulls picked up free at the range and cut them to 2 1/2" while watching TV at night easily doing a hundred a evening.

I have piece of 3/4" copper pipe cut 2 7/16" long it is a perfect fit for 12ga just insert the hull all the way to the rim and cut off the part of the crimp showing, quick accurate and inexpensive.
