Further to my previous post (http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=421965#Post421965), I have now acquired the said JP Sauer & Sohn 16 ga. over .30-30. The stock does in fact include a perpendicular piece of walnut, followed by a black spacer and a rubber pad, resulting in a LOP of 14 7/8". The previous owner could offer me no definitive insight as to the reason for this alternation, but with me being tall and of long arms, the gun fits me well.

The barrels measure 25 5/8" in length and it has a set trigger.

I believe the gun to be a Model 54, but I submit the following photos in the hope that those here can educate me on this gun. Cheers!
