Absolutely not. I buy off of GB on a regular basis but, I have come to the conclusion that my only course of action is to expect the item will be 70% of description and bid accordingly. School of hard knocks.

Someone must have your number. Those $500.00 Sterlingworths are the tell tail. OH, another ricochet.

For the last time .......... You told me you accepted NO RETURNS, and you said that you knew what you were selling. If that was true, and you knew what you were selling, why would I have bothered to say anything to you, when I "bought into it", with my eyes wide open? It was a bad error in judgement on my part, to be so naive and trusting. But, I won't allow you to continue to misrepresent your return "policy" without calling you on it.

This is all I will have to say on this, until you bring it up and act so high and mighty again in another thread.

"When I sell on GB my shit is as described with a NO QUESTIONS ASKED return policy. Can you say the same. Its about integrity and looking in the mirror. Its called a conscience."

how long have you been selling on gunbroker? what do you sell on gunbroker? what is your gunbroker user name?

my gunbroker user name is ed1. i currently sell mostly doubleguns. i have been selling on gunbroker since 2001. my business policies are a product of my experiences there and elsewhere doing business on the net since 1997.

My user name is the same as here Julio, Ithaca1. I am an individual, gave up the C3 dealer game years ago.

Back to it bud, is your return policy no questions asked or are you a squid looking for a loophole, Mr master of deflection?

What are your business hours? I'd like to see what you have to offer. I've seen the trash on GB, I'd like to see the good stuff.

stan: i am not infallible... browning bss guns are very reliable... apparently, the bss i sold you had a problem. i did not knowing sell you a gun with a problem... all you had to do was tell me about the problem as soon as you discovered it and not years later...i would have been happy to pay a reasonable cost for the repair. why even bring up the issue of return here? by the way, what was the repair? sounds like all it needed was a good cleaning?

No need to avoid buying from me. My terms are simple. Don't like it return it no matter the reason. Will you extend the same courtesy to me, those on doubleguns and GB? What say you?

ithaca1: i checked your feedback on gunbroker. you have a grand total of 51 feedbacks. only 9 of which are as a seller.

perhaps you need to experience several hundred more selling scenarios on gunbroker before you ask others to adopt your business policies...

meantime, i perceive that you are not the kind of person i wish to do any business with, buying or selling...nothing personal; just that vibs honed by experience guide me.

Back to the forcing cone issue. Personally I see little if any advantage to long forcing cones & some disadvantages if one desires to shoot some card & filler wads. It must however be admitted they have been highly touted as a cure-all for everything from poor patterns to excessive recoil & many bought into the hype. The highest pressure point in firing a shotshell is inside the chamber, the pressure is actually falling by the time the cone is reached. In the Vast Majority the thinnest point is at the juncture of the chamber & cone, with metal thickening as you go down the cone. As mentioned earlier even with a cone of around 1˝" long the thinnest point is unchanged from that juncture. With the possible exception of a few very rare cases there is thus little factual evidence that lengthening a cone will in any way weaken the barrel.
The same thickness as at the chamber/cone juncture will not be reached for several more inches down the barrel where pressures are still lower.
