Because of their absorbancy a torn and folded Bounty paper towel is hard to beat when cleaning a shotgun.

I steer clear of nitro solvents. Most claim to assist in lead removal or dissolving. My guns are all soldered with lead/tin solder.

I just use Remoil to clean.

DIdn't you offer to send some of your panties to Amarillo Mike not too long ago?
You seem to have some weird fetishes.
I'm good with my own BVDs, and you can keep your Spanks, jOe.

Maybe you should see a doctor about wanting other to give your undies to other guys.

Ted

jOe, in my opinion, I think I can get a bore cleaner using the bristle/patch. Just the way I've done it for decades. I'm sure there are many different ways to clean a bore that are equally good. Heck, I know several shooters at our gun club who never use anything more than a bore snake and seem to be perfectly satisfied.

Joe maybe I'm seeing it wrong but it makes little sense to rub a dirty patch in and out of a barrel...

So unless you remove your bristle pAtch holder after each push you're just pulling fowling in and out of your bore not accomplishing much actual cleaning.

Ps..Teddy it was just a joke intended to compliment your lame attempt at humor about cleaning your Darn' guns with yer seasoned drawers...not to worry I wouldn't send you any of my old drawers any more than I would use them to clean my gun barrels (unless I had a Moss'turd pump like you do.) blush .

Bore snakes are good...I use them in pistols, Ar's and shotguns for a quick clean.

Used to use underwear. Now use old sweatshirts/sweatpants. You can make a lot of patches out of either, whatever size you want, and they don't cost anything. I like the heavier cloth better than underwear.

Wow, isn't winter a boring time ? Five pages of comments on cleaning patches. Does one dare ask about the best soap for washing dirty patches ?
